The Latin phrase “Ad hoc” means “for this reason”, and it is for the reason of supporting the UP Junior Marketing Association’s (UP JMA) beneficiaries – the Kids Integrated Development Through Schooling (K.I.D.S.) and the UP JMA Scholarship Fund – that the Metro’s biggest and best college party was created.

UP JMA and Tahanan ng Panginoon, Our Lady of Pentecost Parish Chapter (Varsity Hills, Loyola Heights, QuezonCity), work hand in hand in the UP JMA Kids Integrated Development through Schooling (K.I.D.S.) program. Our bright and talented scholars come from Balara Elementary School, Quirino High School, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Project 3 Elementary School and Kalaw Elementary School. The program, which was established to support the educational needs of these children, has gone a long way since its beginnings more than ten years ago.

The program provides its scholars assistance in the form of:
- Educational subsidy;
- Books, uniforms, food supplements and school supplies (in cash/kind); and
- Numerous K.I.D.S. activities each semester (such as field trips, day oust, sports fests and workshops).

Remaining committed in its social and moral obligation to help others in the community, the UP JMA ADHOC Major Event continues to support the 35 children & 3 scholars already involved in the program.

UP JMA puts through school one student of the College of Business Administration. The scholar’s entire undergraduate degree is subsidized, that is, the entire four (4) years for a BS Business Administration (BA) student, or the whole five (5) years for a BS Business Administration and Accountancy (BAA) Student.

These are the reasons why UP JMA works so hard in producing high quality events such as the ADHOC Major Event. As ADHOC grows and strengthens each semester, so will our commitment in supporting the K.I.D.S. and the UP JMA Scholarship Fund.
